Whether in the streets, the park, or carving your own path, we are here to fuel your passion for skating.
Our History

Scaters was originally established in Liverpool UK, 1933. Our founders John and Lennon were young and ambitious. Scaters originally started it’s life as a bicycle manufacturing company under the name ‘Beatles Bicycles’.
The business struggled to compete in the competitive cycling industry towards the 21st century, and so John and Lennon decided to change the business forever.
It was John who convinced Lennon that they needed to move away from bicycles, and towards the growing trend of skateboarding in 1998. 5 years later , in 2003, Scaters hit the streets.
The business was an immediate success, and growth happened rapidly. Now we employ over 300 people across the UK, and Scaters products can be found in over 200 retailers in the UK alone.
Our Contributions
Scaters prides itself in sustainability and ethics. That is why every year we donate 5% of all revenue we make to amazing charities across the UK.
The charities we donate to are changed each year based on our customer’s votes. This year, we are proud to announce our collaborations with the Sports Foundation for the Disabled, and the WWF.
